Mayday: stories that spark connection

Tell Me More returns to Leiden for another unforgettable storytelling night, hosted by Igno at Theater De Generator.

This May, we gather under the theme “Mayday”, a call, a signal, a moment of urgency or transformation. Through storytelling, music, and shared presence, the evening explores the moments we reach out, break through, or begin again.

The line-up features stories by Marcella Castagna, Leyla Bric, Maarten Duinker and Natalino Bucci and music by Hannah de Maagt.

Expect a captivating night full of stories, music, and real connection; a space where voices meet and experiences resonate. As always, the night ends with an open mic, welcoming anyone inspired to step forward and share.

Previous Edition: Bittersweet (February 6, 2026)

Igno is not new to hosting evenings at Tell Me More. In May, it will be his fourth time, and earlier this year he also hosted the first edition of 2026.

The first edition of 2026 invited audiences into the theme “Bittersweet” — stories shaped by contrast, where joy meets melancholy and laughter gives way to reflection.

This edition featured storytellers Jugal Bhinde, Iulia Dutchak, Abel Thijssen and Marnie Baumer, spoken words by Tatenda Chimhanda, and music by Ailig McLeod Moreno trio, Stijn Tensen (bassist), Jack Buckley (guitarist).

Expect an evening filled with captivating stories, live music, and a welcoming atmosphere where connections are made through shared experiences. The night ends with an open mic, offering space for anyone who feels inspired to step up and share their own story.
